Anwar Thinned the top of the tank (I think)
– I removed 3-4mm with my sanding knife after trimming the base. Note the hole in the bottom part with a bit of the sanding foam and then an angle grinder. Cut the hole in the sanding foam then use a piece of a 1/8 to 1/4 thick wood file on that to flush the bottom part with the base. Then using a 1/8″ bit of 1/4″ wood file on the bottom part and 1/8″ wood file from the inside, trim/sand the part after it goes in the hole.
– I used a bit of sanding foam on the bottom of the tank, because of the texture of the tank. Note the small gap where the 2nd part comes in.
– On the first side, I just filed the top, because it looks a little bit less perfect on the finished surface.
– On the second side, if you want, you can use the sanding foam to make the pattern more symmetric on the rear and bottom.
Hope to see some more from the guys at the base, I’ll see you all over there!
